Eight die in Punjab road accidents

476 injured moved to hospitals

LAHORE:

At least eight people died while 815 were injured in 782 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Out of this 476 people were seriously injured who were shifted to different hospitals while 339 mildly injured victims were treated at the accident scenes.

The majority (64%) involved motorbikes. Further, the analysis showed that 319 drivers, 51 underage drivers, 142 pedestrians and 362 passengers were among the victims of these road traffic crashes.

The statistics show that 203 RTCs were reported in Lahore which affected 210 persons.
