Senate chairman’s younger brother dies in road accident

Salar Khan Sanjrani was travelling to Quetta from Karachi when his car collided with oil tanker

Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani's younger brother Salar Khan Sanjrani and his driver were killed in a road accident in Uthal area of ​​Balochistan’s Lasbela district adjacent to Karachi on Friday afternoon.

According to the family sources, Salar was travelling to Quetta from Karachi when his car collided with an oil tanker.

The hospital sources identified the car driver as Muhammad Younis, who died on the spot, while Salar Khan was rushed to Uthal Hospital in critical condition in an ambulance.

However, he succumbed to his injuries on way to Karachi. According to the family sources, the body of the deceased would be brought to his native town of Chagai for burial after necessary procedures.

Punjab Governor Mohammad Sarwar expressed sorrow over the death of Salar Khan and offered condolences to the bereaved family.

Last year, Salar Khan assured people of Nokkundi, a town in Chagai district of Balochistan, that his brother and Chairman of the Senate Sadiq Sanjrani would play role in addressing the issues and miseries of the people of the province.

“Sadiq Sanjrani's chairmanship is the victory of the entire province as the Balochistan Awami Party has become a representative of the people of the province,” Salaar had said while addressing the participants of a rally.
