The actor took to Twitter to highlight the cricketer’s kindness and humility

Actor Ushna Shah recently took to Twitter to share a fan moment with Shahid Afridi, testifying to the cricketer’s humility. Detailing her experience of sharing a flight with Afridi, Shah exclaimed that the cricketer had won over her heart with his kindness.

She tweeted, “On a flight with Shahid Afridi bhai. Hands down the biggest star in Pakistan, yet so humble. Blessed me with encouragement and duas.” The actor added, “So gracious and kind to everyone who would come up to him, especially children. Lala ney dil jeet liyia [Lala won my heart].”

Afridi did not respond to the tweet till the filing of this report but his fans are overjoyed Ushna decided to pen down, even briefly, her short-lived but sweet experience with the batsman.

On a separate note, whether the OG ‘Boom Boom’ has any plans to cash in on his fame and venture into the world of politics is still up in the air. In a previous episode of Time Out with Ahsan Khan, he said, “It’s not like I have completely disregarded the idea of getting into politics, but I usually prefer to live one day at a time. I don’t know what my plan will be tomorrow or the day after. The greatest of planners is sitting up there, so I prefer enjoying every day.”

In the same interview, Afridi reflected on the moment in his career that brought him the most joy, “2009’s WorldCup was very important to me. Mainly because it was against Sri Lanka and there were bomb blasts in Pakistan at the time and all the teams refused to play here. At a time like that, winning the WorldCup was very important. That’s a win you can never forget.”
