Additional District and Sessions Judge Munir Ahmed on Wednesday again sought comments from the station house officer (SHO) concerned by August 25 on a petition seeking registration of a case against an adviser to the Punjab governor for allegedly raiding the petitioner’s shop and depriving him of thousands of rupees.
The petition has been filed by Shehzad Ramazan, a dress designer, who is seeking a court order to police to register a case against the adviser, Zahid Bashir. The petitioner said that he had stitched 35 suits for Bashir, but was paid only Rs84,000 rather than Rs415,000 Bashir had agreed to pay. He said that a few days later, Bashir and his armed henchmen had entered his shop and snatched even the Rs84,000 from him accusing him of not delivering the dresses on time. He said that he had tried to register a case against Bashir at Defence-A police station, but SHO Attique Dogar had refused to do so. The petitioner requested the court to direct the SHO to register a case against the adviser. At the previous hearing, the judge had sought comments from the SHO. However, the SHO did not appear in the court and no comments were submitted on his behalf.
The judge again directed the SHO to submit his comments in court by the next hearing.
