The Sharea Faisal Investigation Police have solved the mystery of blind murder of a teenage girl in Zakari Goth, Gulistan e Jauhar. Police have arrested the father on the charge of killing his own daughter in the name of honour.
According to SSP Investigation-I East, Altaf Hussain, body of a teenage girl named Qamarwash was found with a bullet in the head at her doorstep on November 17 last year. The case was registered by Sharea Faisal police on the complaint of Zainul Abidin, the father of the deceased. No one saw the accused fleeing after killing the girl. Due to which the incident was a mystery.
The shooting took place at the back door of the house. In this regard, the father of the plaintiff had told the police that his wife had called him and asked to come home immediately and when he reached home his wife pointed towards the door where he found his 15-year-old daughter Qamarwash body. She had a bullet wound on his forehead and was bleeding. Later he informed the Madadgar 15 police. While the wife said that someone had knocked at the door, Qamarwish went to see, an unknown person or persons opened fire and fled the scene. According to Altaf Hussain, police found a 9mm pistol shell at the scene. While the father of the victim kept trying to mislead the police by giving contradictory statements. However, during the investigation, the police seized a 9mm pistol from the victim's father and sent it to the forensic laboratory. It was revealed that the shell of the bullet found at the scene was fired from the same pistol. On which the police arrested the father of the victim Zainul Abidin.

During the interrogation, he revealed that he knocked at the back door of his house as planned and as soon as his daughter Qamarwash opened the door, he fired from his pistol at her head which killed her on the spot. He later fled the scene on the back street and reached home within minutes after his wife called.
According to the police, the accused revealed that he had killed his daughter on suspicion of having illicit relations with neighbour Adeel. He also wanted to kill Adeel. However, he managed to escape.
