SPI increases 0.08%

SPI for lowest income group decreased 0.28% compared to previous week

ISLAMABAD:

The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended January 6, 2021 registered an increase of 0.08% for the combined income group, going up from 167.98 points during the week ended December 30, 2021 to 168.12 points in the week under review.

The SPI for the combined income group rose 20.08% compared to the corresponding week of previous year. The SPI for the lowest income group decreased 0.28% compared to the previous week.

The index for the group stood at 175.91 points against 176.4 points in the previous week, according to provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
