Six killed in Khuzdar wagon-truck collision

Levies officials say that the driver of the wagon lost control over the vehicle due to speeding

Six members of a family were killed after a passenger wagon collided with a truck on Quetta-Karachi National Highway on Thursday evening.

The accident occurred near the Wadh area, Khuzdar District.

According to details, the family was travelling to Khuzdar from Karachi. Levies officials said that the driver of the wagon lost control over the vehicle due to speeding and after which it collided with the truck, which was parked at the roadside.

The crash resulted in the killing of six people of the same family, including two women, and injured 20 others.

Wadh Assistant Commissioner Jamil Ahmed Rind reached the site of the accident along with the Levies Force and shifted the bodies and wounded to Teaching Hospital Khuzdar.

“We have received six bodies and 20 injured at the hospital,” sources at the medical facility said, adding that the other four injured were in a serious condition and were being shifted to Karachi.

The deceased included Tariq Noor, Ghulam Mustafa, Yasar, Saima, Asyia and Noor Zahid.
