At the Iftar The Express Tribune caught up with Karachi’s former city nazim, Mustafa Kamal.
Who, we asked him, is going to be the next city nazim? “If anyone claims to know who the MQM will nominate for this slot, then they don’t know the MQM at all,” he said. There are plenty of bright young people who are unknown in the party, just like I was a few years ago. “Did you know me, when I became nazim,” he asked. “I was also an unknown amidst a list of very prominent people.” Then one day, he just got a telephone call and Altaf Hussain asked him to file his papers. This is the principle that is likely to apply with any new nomination that will go through the Rabita Committee. The MQM has had a reputation for giving raw talent a run. If indeed this is the case for next time, any inexperienced young person will have the benefit of Kamal’s five years of experience.

I think MQM should concentrate on Karachi not all over the country. I know the answer will be NO because MQM need seats for next election to make his PM. But let MQM change the world and show a daam strong grip in KHI and leave all cities and make the other parties leader on Table to accepts its demand
Mustafa Kamal defined, wrote and practically demonstrated with effective results how to develop a city. If he had another four years today's Karachi would be even more eye-popping. But the essentials are that all religio-political parties must stop pasting handbills, banners and placards on the walls of the city. Mustafa Kamal..........Viva! Bravo! Ole! Shabash. Please accept my Salams.
The way the people of Karachi are killing I wonder if there will enough left to have a CDGK???!!!
Come and see the deliverance made by Mustafa Kamal in Karachi.....All Pakistanis are welcome....if you talk about crime, bhatta, snatching and mafia, it happens in every big cities like NewYork, Johannesburgh and Mumbai, you can not proof any crime on MQM, anyone who speak good Urdu or belongs to any community can be a criminal.
Where did you get smooth roads, better sewerage system and flyovers?
MQM delivers and have left thousands evidences to be verified by any Pakistani.

@billo: did you try and FAIL?
@ali: Also, for example go to shah faisal town # 2, you will find 100s steel cabins installed on footpath by your honest nazim during his tenure. these cabins were given on rent for Rs. 2000 per month and an advance of Rs. 10000.

Express Tribune should publish the name of the city of the the person that is commenting People are biased and also lack of knowledge or their knowledge from biased sources I am outside of Sindh and I think on the basis of my information through media that CDG has performed better in Karachi and Hyderabad than other parts of Sindh.
@billo:
People like you would never let this country progress.. Racist!!!!!!!!!!!
If there are any CDGK elections :(
Reg the comment above, It's a pity that we cannot appreciate the good done by Mustafa Kamal and his party - merely because of our biases against them. You might disagree with them but you're only fooling yourself if you can't see the work done by him.
Kamal is faking laughter
