Mark your calendars as Lady Whistledown is back with all the gossip you need.

Netflix and Shondaland have finally revealed the premiere date of season 2 for the popular romantic drama series Bridgerton. Good news for all fans longing to hear from the society’s paper again, the glitz and glamour will return to the OTT platform on March 25, reported Variety.

Drawing inspiration from Julia Quinn’s novels and taking the traditions forward, the second part will follow the story of Lord Anthony Bridgerton’s (Jonathan Bailey) quest for love as he sets out to find a suitable wife. When Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) and her younger sister Edwina (Charithra Chandran) arrive from India, Anthony starts to court the latter sister — but the former soon discovers that his intentions for marriage are not pure.

In an interview with Variety, Shonda Rhimes, executive producer of the series, gave her insights while teasing fans on what to await in the upcoming season.  Offering a forecast about the centre couple’s love life, she shared, “I think there’s a powerful, interesting, romantic couple at the heart of it. They’re an incredibly interesting and exciting pair. I like to watch them.” She added, "Our goal if we do our job correctly, is you are going to be as invested and excited by that couple as you were by a couple of Season 1."

While we had a fair share of good news, Rhimes shared a piece that will disappoint fans. She revealed that the much loved Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page), the Duke of Hastings, would not be returning for the upcoming season.

Apart from the central characters, the series also stars Adjoa Andoh, Lorraine Ashbourne, Harriet Cains, Bessie Carter, Shelley Conn, Nicola Coughlan, Phoebe Dynevor, Ruth Gemmell, Florence Hunt, Martins Imhangbe, Claudia Jessie, Calam Lynch, Luke Newton, Golda Rosheuvel, Luke Thompson, Will Tilston, Polly Walker, Rupert Young and Julie Andrews as the voice of Lady Whistledown (the bane of the show).
