LAHORE:

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led (PTI) government was given a five-year mandate and it would complete this constitutional tenure. However, the conspirators would continue to bewail during
this period.

The chief minister said the PTI-led government has responded to a spate of political negativity through an agenda of public service.

“Credit goes to the PTI government for being the most transparent as it has set worth following examples of transparency,” he underscored.

“No one could dare to usurp the resources,” he asserted and regretted that massive corruption was done in the past in the shape of commissions and kickbacks.

“Billions were siphoned off in the past and the day was started with a new corruption scandal,” he added. The nation has not forgotten the spate of corruption.

The country is moving forward while the corrupt are nabbed.”

Earlier, the CM approved Rs3.1 million and a letter has been issued to DG (health) for the treatment of seven deserving patients.

As per details, Rs1.35 for Bahawalnagar’s Abiha Amir for cochlear implant surgery, Rs1 million for a cancer patient Samina Sattar of Muzaffargarh, Rs300,000 for Riaz Hussain, a kidney patient from Dera Ghazi Khan.

Medical assistance was also approved for patients from Bahawalpur and Lodhran districts.

Buzdar has also sought a report from the Lahore CCPO about a molestation attempt with children in the precinct of PS Harbanspura. The CM directed him to initiate legal action against the suspects.

In line with the vision of PM Imran Khan, the mission of public service would be accelerated as people demand development and prosperity, the CM said, “Only the agenda of public service would prevail while the anarchistic elements have been fully exposed.”

In a statement, the CM said the politics of anarchy would not succeed and the negative politics of the opposition has ended in a fiasco. “Those engaged in criticism for the sake of criticism do not want a solution to the public problems,” he said.

The chief minister asserted that he was an advocate of the ignored and neglected people. He said his relationship with the people of the province had become stronger.

The incumbent government headed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) believed in practical work rather than launching projects for self-projection and, therefore, it had successfully delivered, he added.

The chief minister said being a public representative, he would leave no stone unturned to solve the people’s problems. “Delay in providing relief to the people will not be tolerated at all,” he warned.
