A young girl was stabbed to death in New Karachi area. The accused involved in the murder of the girl is said to be her neighbour who fled away from the scene.
Police arrested two brothers of the accused and started questioning them.
Sources said a young girl was stabbed to death near Aqsa Mosque within the limits of Bilal Colony Police Station, whose body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The victim was identified as Saba, 25, daughter of Aslam (late). Upon receiving the report of the incident, the police also rushed to the spot and started investigation by gathering evidence and recording statements of area people.
In this regard, SHO Bilal Colony Nawaz Brohi said that the victim was stabbed to death by her neighbour Ghazanfar. He said that the victim had lodged a case at Gulshan-e-Maymar police station and had left her house to go to the city court to pursue the same case. Accused Ghazanfar was standing a few steps away from her house and when he saw the girl coming, he attacked her with a knife and escaped.

He said that in the past there had been a heated arguments between the victim's brother and the fugitive accused about dumping garbage in the street and the accused had also spoken harshly with the victim. The women of the neighbourhood have also confirmed that the accused Ghazanfar is a rude man and speaks badly to everyone and also shows his affiliation with a religious party.
The SHO said that the accused was also a drug addict and a fanatic. Police have arrested two brothers of the accused Ahsan and Danish and shifted them to the police station, who are being interrogated.
He said that the accused may have killed the victim over the issue of throwing garbage in the street. However, further investigation was underway and raids were being carried out to nab the suspect.
