Says govt plans to invest Rs440b in health sector in next three years

Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) for Information and Spokesperson for the government of Punjab Hasaan Khawar has said Naya Pakistan Health Card programme is the largest welfare project in the history of the country which will directly benefit 30 million families in the province.

He said free treatment of up to Rs1 million would be available from this health card. He added that Buzdar government intends to inject Rs440 billion in health sector in next three years which will generate significant investment in private health sector. This is the real change that the PTI has brought, as promised.

Khawar further said that PTI government is trying to bring best possible health facilities to the doorsteps of the people.

“Our government is introducing projects with far-reaching impact at the grassroot level, instead of "mega" projects with minimum impact,” he added. He said our public welfare programs would be a manifestation of the dream of welfare state and state of Madinah. Khawar said that in the past, less work and more publicity was the order of the day, but not anymore. Hasaan Khawar said that the method of governance has now transformed under the leadership of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.

The government is working to upgrade health, education and justice facilities.
