Lyari residents protest at CM house against killing of five

After holding funeral prayers, protesters march towards the Sindh CM's house along with the dead bodies.

KARACHI: Residents of Lyari protested in front of the Sindh Chief Minister’s house on Wednesday against the murder of five people in the area.

Express 24/7 correspondent Sabin Agha reported that after holding the funeral prayers of the deceased, the protesters marched towards the CM house along with the five dead bodies.

The protesters demanded the arrest of all those involved in the murder of these people.

Overnight shootings kill 7 across Karachi

Violence rose in Karachi once again, as seven people were killed in overnight incidents of shooting in various parts of the city.

Reportedly, there is no let up in violence in Karachi as the law and order situation remained tense in many sensitive areas including Lyari.

A man was shot by unidentified gunmen in Pakistan Employees Cooperative Housing Society (PECHS).

Two bodies were found in gunny sacks on Tariq Road and two in the Garden area.

Another man was gunned down in Shah Faisal Colony.

Meanwhile two of the victims of the minibus torching incident, that took place on August 12, succumbed to their injuries taking the death toll to six.
