The government is striving to increase exports of high-quality products, said Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood.
Inaugurating Pakistan Virtual Export Gallery at the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Dawood expressed satisfaction over the performance of TDAP officers, according to a statement issued on Friday.He suggested to the officials to efficiently organise the upcoming exhibition in Lahore, as foreigners would be attending the event.
Dawood told the officials to prominently display tractors and other heavy machinery manufactured in Pakistan at the exhibition, as they were in high demand in different countries including African nations. The PM aide also spoke to TDAP officers in Sukkur and Abbottabad via phone to discuss matters pertaining to exports and quality of dates and honey.
On the occasion, TDAP Secretary Ahsan Ali Mangi and other senior officials told the PM aide that the upcoming exhibition for engineering and health equipment in Lahore would be held from February 25 to 27, 2022, for which a budget of Rs179.6 million had been approved. The exhibition was expected to feature 150 exhibitors and around 250 foreign delegates from 41 countries would participate, they said, adding that the general public would be allowed to visit on the last day of the event.
