HAZRO:

The construction work on a school for differently-abled children was completed in the Mansar area on Wednesday.

Government of Punjab Spokesman Qazi Ahmad Akbar was invited as a special guest at the Government Special Education Centre Hazro. The event had also aimed to commemorate the International Day of Disabled Persons.

“Special children are an important part of society, who required undivided attention.” He revealed that the building of an additional Government Special Education Centre in Jatial would be completed soon. The official also revealed a bus, worth Rs7.2 million, has been purchased for the special education centre.

The other speakers opined that the international day recalls that special children must be given attention to make them productive members of society. They believed the parents of the students at the centre should also inform other parents, so they could equip their differently-abled children with education.

Separately, Akbar said that the government was paying special attention to the education of special children, and he would continue to play his role for such children.
