Another youth fell victim to the ‘fake encounter’ of Karachi police.

Acting on protest by the heirs West District DIG Nasir Aftab ordered an inquiry, while a police official named Tauheed was taken into custody.

The police spokesman had issued a statement on Monday claiming that a robber was killed in an encounter with the Orangi Town police and that his accomplice had escaped.

However, later the boy’s father, Haji Liaquat reached the Abbasi SHaheed Hospital along with members of his family and community.

The devastated father told the media that the deceased Arsalan was a student of intermediate and had gone for tuition with his friend. “The suspect police claim had escaped was under treatment in the same hospital,” said Liaquat, an office bearers of Dumper Association. “We are from Waziristan, we settle blood feuds our own way. But here in the metropolis, we demand the authorities to bring the perpetrators of my child’s murder to justice,” Liaquat said.
