Residents of Federal B Area Naseerabad protested till late on Wednesday night over the killing of a citizen by dacoits.
Two others, including a policeman, were also injured in the same incident.
During a robbery bid at a barbershop near Quetta Darbar Hotel close to Falah Masjid in Federal B Area, Salman, 42, was killed while a Khawaja Amjer Nagri police officer, Saad, and a hotel worker Shamsullah, who were present inside the barbershop, were injured.
In response, locals remained outside the Jauharabad police station in protest till about 3 o'clock in the morning. Residents, while talking to the media, said that the suspects arrived on four motorcycles and entered the barbershop.
However, after seeing policeman Saad inside the shop, the suspects opened indiscriminate fire before fleeing.
