TORONTO:

Pakistan’s Consul General in Toronto, Abdul Hameed has expressed hope that successful professional women of Pakistani origin in Canada would help their counterparts back home by sharing best practices, experiences and strategies for achieving targets in their respective fields.

He said this while speaking to a delegation of LadiesFund at an event organised for professional relationship building, networking, and connecting the community back to Pakistan.

“Information technology based linkages among professional women of both countries would build a knowledge and skill corridor creating a positive impact on the quality of life of Pakistani women,” he said.

“Positive interventions and projects in social sectors like education and health in Pakistan by expatriate Pakistanis are now possible due to the prevalence of communication technology and its more frequent use in these sectors during the Covid period,” he added.

“We are greatly honoured to bring a LadiesFund delegation, of a cross section of trailblazing Pakistani-Canadian women to meet with the honorable Consul General,” said fund President Tara Uzra Dawood.

“Our platform not only aligns and introduces these incredible, impactful women to each other, but through occasions such as these, facilitates their connection back to Pakistan and their counterparts living and working in Pakistan.”
