Suspect has extorted millions of rupees from innocent citizens

KARACHI:

Police arrested two impersonators allegedly posing as intelligence personnel.

The police rounded up accused Aqib from Keamari area and registered a case against him. The suspect has extorted millions of rupees from innocent citizens by posing as an officer of an intelligence agency. Apart from this, he also tricked several girls into maintaining relationship with him on the pretext of marriage. The accused used to introduce himself as a major.

Cases are registered against the suspect in different police stations including Saeedabad and Jamshed Quarters in which he was wanted by the police. Further investigation from the suspect is underway.

Meanwhile, Preedy Police arrested accused Ijaz Ali while conducting an operation on Shahra-e-Liaquat.

A patrol spotted the suspect and questioned him, he identified himself as an intelligence officer and showed them his card.

When his card was verified by the concerned agency, it turned out to be fake.

Police registered a case against the accused and started further investigation.
