PIA becomes first int’l airline to fly directly to Fujairah

Adding to its accolades, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has become the first international airline to fly directly to Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates.

The first PIA flight carrying 168 passengers from Peshawar reached Fujairah in the afternoon on Thursday. Members of the Royal family of Fujairah and other high-ranking officials welcomed the passengers of the PIA flight and special guest CEO PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik, at the Fujairah Airport. The passengers and guests were treated to a traditional reception dance.

PIA flights were started at the special request of the Emir of Fujairah. Under special arrangements for PIA flights, immigration of all passengers will be completed in 15 minutes. Special buses have also been arranged which will provide free access to other UAE cities.
