LAHORE:

Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab for Information and Spokesperson for the Punjab Government Hasaan Khawar has said the country was facing not only environmental pollution but also political pollution. The opposition, especially the PML-N, has always “polluted the political atmosphere by dragging third umpires in politics”.

Failing that, PML-N made unsuccessful attempts to tarnish the image of institutions and personalities by slandering them. Today, a democratic government is working hand in glove with all state institutions, and any untoward attempt to derail this institutional unity will have resounding repercussions.

He said issues between the government and its allies have been settled amicably and that government will effectively pursue the agenda of electoral reforms in joint session of the parliament.

These views were expressed by Khawar while talking to media on the occasion of an international conference at the Punjab University on Tuesday.
