Suspect’s wife refused to return home from family reunion with expats

A family reunion turned into a tragedy after a man murdered his father-in-law and two brothers-in-law following his estranged wife’s refusal to return home with him in Mughalpura on Monday.

All the three victims had returned from abroad a few days back. Reportedly, the suspect identified as Shahzeb alias Bao Gujjar lived nearby the victims in Raj Garh.

He and Aqsa had married of their own will three years back. The woman left his home three days ago and went to her parents place.

The suspect clad in trekking suit entered the house of the victims in the morning and reportedly tried to reconcile with his wife. He was frustrated after failing to persuade her to return home. After an exchange of harsh words with his in-laws, he opened fire at them.

Three victims suffered bullet injuries. Hamid Shah, 50, and his son Fakhar Ali, 25, succumbed to bullet injuries at the spot, while Shah Rukh was shifted to a nearby hospital, where he died during treatment.

Hamid and Fakhar reportedly were employed in South Africa. They had returned home 10 days back. Shah Rukh, was studying in Turkey and had returned three days back.
