'Previous govts responsible for declining production of gas, other petroleum products'

The Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh on Saturday said previous governments were responsible for gas shortage and now they were raising hue and cry for political gains.

PTI government has started from scratch and devised long-term plans for the future to streamline the energy sector Sheikh talked to the media during his visit to Furniture and Living Expo at the Expo Centre Karachi.

He reiterated that previous governments were responsible for the declining production of gas and other petroleum products as they had not initiated a single exploration and production project.

If they had prioritised exploration and production of oil and gas, the situation would have been different today, he noted.
