The Ambassador of Argentina to Pakistan, Leopoldo Francisco Sahores, has praised Pakistan's role in establishing peace in the region and eradicating terrorism.
The envoy called on Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar and discussed with him bilateral relations, including cooperation in the agriculture, pharmaceuticals, information technology and industrial sectors.
He praised the steps taken for peace in Afghanistan and said Pakistan's sacrifices for the eradication of terrorism and the establishment of peace were commendable.
He said the Argentine government was working closely with Pakistan in the fields of agriculture, pharmaceuticals, IT and industry, expressing confidence that the relations between the two countries would be stronger than ever in the days to come.
Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said the government was ensuring the provision of all facilities, including security, to foreign investors. Pakistan is a peaceful country with investment opportunities in many sectors, he added.
He said the bilateral relations spanning over 70 years were a sign of mutual trust, respect and cooperation. He said the role of institutional mechanisms was crucial to strengthening the relations, adding that there was a joint commission to promote trade between the two countries.
