Sindh Governor Imran Ismail inaugurated the 11th Annual Classic Car Rally at the Governor House.
As many as 23 rare cars and six motorcycles having historical significance from across the province took part in the rally.
Talking to media after inauguration of the rally, the governor said that the rally features rare vehicles dating back to 1935. The participants of this magnificent and beautiful rally deserve tribute for projecting a positive image of Pakistan around the world.
“Fauzia Emad, Pakistan's first female driver, is also participating in this rally with her children and the media should highlight this thing so that the world should know how safe and ideal Pakistan is for sports activities,” governor said. The rally will pass through Gambat and reach Rahim Yar Khan where the participants of the rally will stay for two days. Meanwhile, 20 rare vehicles from Lahore will also join the rally. The rally will leave Rahim Yar Khan for Lahore in two days.
Rally participants will stay in Lahore for three days. Later, the rally will start from Islamabad and participate in a show in Peshawar on November 17. Mohsin Ikram, founder and president of Vintage and Classic Car Club Pakistan, said that like every year, a car rally with rare vehicles is being held this year.
