Amidst the backlash Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has been receiving lately, his wife and actor Anushka Sharma is here to make things better and lift his spirits.
Taking to Instagram on Diwali, the Bollywood diva shared a loved up photo with the skipper to wish him a happy birthday with the sweetest note, highlighting all the great things about him, some of which came to fore in the form of the sportsmanship he displayed during India’s recent matches in the ICC tournament.
The photo saw Kohli sporting a white kurta with embroidery while Anushka donned a mustard outfit with golden embellishments. The duo smiled in each other’s embrace as they posed for the shot.
“No filter needed for this photo and the way you lead your life,” wrote Anushka in the caption. “Your core is made of honesty and guts of steel, courage that pales doubt into oblivion. I know no one who can pick themselves up from a dark place like you can,” she added.
She assured Kohli that he grows better in every way because he holds on to nothing – including grudges or fears. “You [are] fearless. I know we are not ones to talk to each other through social media like this but sometimes I just want to scream and tell the world what an amazing man you are. Fortunate are those who really truly know you. Thank you for making everything brighter and more beautiful,” she concluded, “Happy Birthday cuteness!”
