Safdar foresees Maryam as PM in the making

Says if we wanted to make a deal, we would have given extension to Gen Raheel Sharif

Captain (retd) Safdar has said that he has been observing Maryam Nawaz as a prime minister in the making since their marriage, adding that her decision to become a leader is a spiritual rather than a political one. He said this while talking to the media outside the Supreme Court on Friday.

Capt Safdar said that he meets with Nawaz Sharif in London regularly. “Mian sahib is the leader of 220 million Pakistanis and everyone wants to meet him,” he said.

Mian Sahib has executed projects such as the atom bomb and the motorway, Capt Safdar stated, adding he will make a better decision for the party but rest assured we will cut our hands off before shaking them with any undemocratic force.

“If we wanted to make a deal, we would have given extension to Gen Raheel Sharif,” he said. If we had to make a deal, we wouldn't have gone to jail in 2018, he said adding that our deal will be made on the streets.

In response to a question, he said that it is unknown what would happen to the country by December, maybe elections will be announced.

Talking about his case, he said that Azam Nazeer Tarar is the only lawyer who is currently standing against oppression and persecution. He said that my land case is currently being heard in the court, so I will not talk about it much.
