The dengue virus has infected 91 more citizens of Islamabad in the last 24 hours, taking the infection toll to 3,083.
The number of fatalities caused by the mosquito-borne disease in the federal capital currently stands at 11.
Islamabad District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Zaeem Zia said that 757 cases have been brought to Holy Family Hospital (HFH) in Rawalpindi.
Meanwhile, Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) has received 144 infected patients, Rawalpindi DHQ 37, PIMS 282, Polyclinic Hospital (PCH) 108, Federal General Hospital (FGH) 335 and CDA Hospital 57.
Additionally, the DHO said that more than 1,400 infected residents of Islamabad visited private hospitals and laboratories of the twin cities.

He elaborated that 1,824 dengue cases emerged from rural areas of the federal capital, while 1,259 surfaced from urban areas.
Dengue infects 78 more in Rawalpindi
In Rawalpindi, 78 more people contracted the dengue virus in the last 24 hours, while six among the admitted patients are reported to be in critical condition.
Some 43 patients were brought to HFH, 20 to the BBH, and 15 to DHQ Rawalpindi. Curently, 214 infected patients are receiving treatment in all three hospitals, where 274 beds are available collectively.
