Three of a family die as truck plunges into gorge

The accident took place when the pickup driver lost control while taking a sharp turn

BATTAGRAM:

Three people of a family died while eight others suffered injuries on Friday when the pickup driver lost control while taking a sharp turn at Bojri Alai, District Battagram and plunged into a deep gorge.

According to police sources, a family belonging to Alai was heading towards Bataila village to attend a funeral procession of their relative. Upon reaching Bojri, the pickup driver took a sharp turn and lost control of his vehicle, which fell into a deep gorge.

Three people, including a woman, died on the spot while eight others, including the driver, sustained critical injuries. The deceased were identified as Umer Zarain, Abdul Hakim and the wife of Umer Sadique.
