VC says Bahawalpur has a huge role to play in Pakistan's establishment, stability

BAHAWALPUR:

The foundation stone of Ahmadpur East Campus of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) was laid in a ceremony held in Mehrabwala village near Ahmadpur East on Thursday. Kanwal Shauzab, Member National Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary for Planning and Development was the chief guest of the event.

Vice Chancellor Dr Athar Mahboob, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr Naveed Akhtar and a large number of dignitaries from the area were present on the occasion.

In her address, Kanwal Shauzab said “today is a historic day that in line with the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, a higher education institution has been set up in a backward area of the country.”

She said the Nawab of Bahawalpur had implemented major projects of education, health and employment in the region and the region has a huge role to play in the establishment and stability of Pakistan.
