A young employee of an intelligence agency was shot dead by armed robbers on his resistance during a robbery bid in Korangi on Sunday.
Korangi SSP, Shahjahan Khan confirmed the incident and said that the victim, identified as Muhammad Jamil, 27, was an intelligence agency employee.
His organisation's ID card was found from his pocket. According to initial reports, the dacoits were fleeing after committing snatching near a textile factory when they also tried to rob Muhammad Jamil and opened fire on resistance.
As a result, a bullet hit him in the chest, which proved fatal. The victim was a resident of Korangi. Police are investigating the matter.
