Zahir Shah, currently working as the Director General, Operations, at the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has been elevated to the post of Deputy Chairman of the country’s premier graft buster, sources said on Friday.
Shah will replace Hussain Asghar, who resigned as the NAB deputy chairman on October 4.
The sources said that NAB had sent a summary for the appointment of Shah as the deputy chairman to the law ministry, which was then sent to President Arif Alvi for final approval.
They added that the president had approved the summary, adding that the law ministry would issue the notification of Shah’s elevation on Saturday (today).
