One killed in North Waziristan blast

Police have registered FIR and started investigation

NORTH WAZIRISTAN:

The vehicle of a tribal elder was targeted in an IED attack in Shiwa tehsil of North Waziristan tribal district on Thursday in which one man was killed and two were badly injured.

Police told The Express Tribune that the vehicle of Malik Remal Jan Kabul Khel was targeted by the miscreants but luckily he was not in the vehicle thus he remained unharmed. Three of his relatives, however, were in the car and one of them was killed on the spot while two others sustained injuries.

“Malik Remal Jan Kabul Khel was busy in a Jirga and not in the vehicle. The injured were rushed to the Tall Doaba hospital for treatment where their condition is stated to be critical,” he said, adding that the injured have been identified as Umar Ali and Rehmatullah.

“The injured and the man killed are cousins and from one family,” he explained.

Police said that an FIR has been registered against unidentified miscreants and police started investigation in the attack.
