Organisational reshuffle: LCCI elections to be held soon

LAHORE: The names of the candidates for the forthcoming annual election of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) will be announced soon, said SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vice President Iftikhar Ali Malik on Monday. He said that a high-level committee comprising senior trade leaders will announce the nominees. He said that before finalising the names of the best candidates, all senior trade leaders of city will be taken into confidence. Malik said that the LCCI election process for the year 2011-12 has started for one position of President, two Vice Presidents, nine executive committee members, including one woman from the corporate sector and seven from associate class. The LCCI elections will be held on Sept 20-21 and final result will be released on Sept 30.
