SIALKOT: The decline in cotton prices will not affect the exports of hosiery and knitwear, as the decrease is a good sign for the cotton-made garments, said PHMA Sialkot Vice Chairman Faisal Mehboob, as he spoke to the journalists on Monday. He said that it was really difficult to compete with the prices in international markets due to the hike in cotton prices. “It is not right that the export of the textile sector is increased due to high cotton prices. We should keep it in view that thousands of orders were also cancelled due to a high price of cotton and the value-added textile industry suffered badly,” he added.
