A women allegedly threw acid on her ex-husband for contracting second marriage in Shera Kot on Tuesday.
Police said the incident was planned by the suspect. The suspect imitated herself as a beggar to get access to victim Sajid Khan.
The initial investigation revealed that Sajid was reportedly married to Sadaf but were separated after divorce three-years later.
A week before the incident, the victim contracted his second marriage and Sadaf was frustrated over the second marriage of her ex-husband.
On the day of the incident, the suspect entered into the street of the victim’s house and threw acid on him as he showed up.

The acid victim was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The victim received injuries on his neck, ears and back.
Similarly, on the same day, another man was shot dead for honour in Chung.
Police said Zamin 42, a resident of Sahiwal, was shot over contracting a second marriage two years back. Suspect Azhar, the brother of victim’s first wife, shot him dead to take revenge of his sister. Police shifted the body to a morgue for autopsy and were investigating the matter.
