Last month, actor Ghana Ali announced on social media that she is expecting her first baby with her husband Umair Gulzar. The Saraab star and her husband are over the moon as they await a new family member in their lives. But Ghana has also shared the issues faced by pregnant women while expecting.
Taking to Instagram, the actor penned, "Who says it is easy to become a mother?" She added, "Frequent urination, Food cravings, Backache, Breathlessness. The worst of all is distaste for foods you usually like and a sour or metallic taste that persists even when you are not eating.”
Ghana then went on to share a video on her Insta handle with Umair and wrote, "A partner's support is especially important for moms and babies during this busy time. I feel my partner is so supportive during this pregnancy, I feel happier and less stressed." She continued, "Pregnancy is a great balance in life it brings out the worst mood swings in a wife and the best levels of tolerance in a husband!"
The 27-year-old star then expressed love for her better half and shared, "I want you to know that I love you, appreciate all your efforts I never felt in need of anyone else even when my family is not around you took care of me as a baby thank you for everything." She concluded, "You made a better me and our child will make me my best and yes, I want to grow old with you, Insha Allah."
Announcing the news, the Sangdil actor posted loved-up photos with Umair and wrote, “We are so happy to announce that our little bundle of joy will arrive soon!” She added, “Alhumdulillah! I cannot thank Allah Pak enough for blessing us with this happiness. We can't wait to meet our new addition.” Ali then asked her followers to remember her family in their prayers. "You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me [Umair Gulzar],” she concluded.
Ghana and Umair tied the knot in May 2021. The actor had taken a break from showbiz for some time after getting hitched.
