Woman ‘lured for health card, raped’

Police are on the hunt for multiple suspects

A woman was lured on the pretext of making a health card and sexually abused by perpetrators on Thursday as per police officials.

Police are raiding the area to arrest the suspects involved in the crime.

According to the registered police report, a stand has been taken in the case filed by Aroosa, a resident of Rehman Town 202RB, that she was allegedly taken to Mohalla Yousufabad by Ramzan, Samina, and others on the promise of preparing her health card.

“When she arrived on the location with the perpetrators, Ramzan and his unidentified accomplices raped her,” police told The Express Tribune. Millat Town Police registered a case against the suspects under the provisions of 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

In a separate incident, a resident of Chak 398GB complained that Fida, Haroon, Taj and others abducted his sister from the house and molested her. The 30-year-old married woman was reportedly alone at her residence when the incident occurred.

As per report, Fida forced himself on the woman at gunpoint. Police have registered a case under the provisions of 496A-376 of the PPC and started raid to put the suspects behind bars.
