Police reportedly pressured victim for reconciliation with suspects

Muslim Town Investigations police reportedly pressured a victim for reconciliation with suspects in a case of torture and snatching.

The police officials, influenced by a political bigwig, had not arrested the suspects despite repeated complaints by the victim identified as Adil Shah, Mall Road Traders Association Senior Vice President.

The suspects had been identified from Punjab Safe City Authority cameras. The vehicles involved in the case were also caught in the footages.

He alleged that an adviser to prime minister had allegedly influenced the case. The complainant told police last month he had the evidence against the suspects.

The trader alleged that the police had not arrested the suspects due to this reason.
