Elahi said, “Our first priority is to solve the problems of the common man at their doorstep. The local government system should be such that it benefits the common man at the grassroots level. It will be effective in reducing basic public problems.”

The prosperity of the society depends on the provision of basic amenities to the people, he added.

Gujjat said, “We appreciate the leadership abilities of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. Pakistan Muslim League has always fought for the rights of common man. The era of Elahi as chief minister was a living example of this and people still remember this era.”
