Sindh government has decided to survey industries located in residential areas across the province, including Karachi, and review the environmental impact issues.
Sindh Environment Minister Ismail Rahu said that after the survey, action would be taken against industries, illegally established in the residential areas and they would be relocated to areas specially allocated for industries.

He directed officers to collect data of industries, operating illegally and without safety measures, threatening the lives of workers and area people, besides causing damage to environment. He also directed the officers concerned to take action against officials supporting illegal operation of industries for vested interests.
Rahu said that inspection of restaurants in the province would also be carried out for environmental and hygiene protection.
