Regrets that past governments failed to give basic rights of education, health

Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi on Tuesday reiterated that his government was determined to bring about socio-economic development in the state that will usher in a new era of progress and welfare for the people.

Addressing a public meeting in Abbaspur town, the newly-elected premier of the state said that his government prioritised the provision of health, education and dispensation of justice and regretted that the past government had ignored the health and education sectors.

He said, “The present government under the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan will utilise all its resources for the promotion of education and provisions of health facilities to the people.”

The premier said the government was fully aware of the problems people living at the line of control confronted and reiterated his commitments to a developmental package aiming at the improvement of infrastructure, promotion of health and education.

The government will not leave them alone and will address all their problems, he added.Qayyum announced the campus of IT university, post-graduate college and municipal committee at Abbaspur.

Besides other major wide-ranging schemes, he also announced to upgrade Taroti middle school to high school. He attended the oath-taking ceremony of the newly-elected office-bearers of Abbaspur Bar Association.
