Minal Khan and Ahsan Mohsin Ikram’s wedding events were glittering affairs. The festivities were attended by several prominent celebrities, including fan-favourite couples Saboor Aly and Ali Ansari, as well as new parents Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain. Kinza Hashmi, Amna Ilyas, Nida Yasir and Areeba Habib were also in attendance. While all eyes were on the bride when it came to outfit choices, the fashionistas who made an appearance made it a point to put their best foot forward at the events as well. Here are our top picks for the best outfits rocked by celebs at Minal’s extravagant wedding festivities!
1. Saboor’s yellow and orange sari
We adore the simplicity of this look! Saboor kept the jewellery to a minimum at Minal’s mayun, letting her gorgeous yellow and orange sari do the talking. The solid colour is perfect for the event, and the contrast between the orange sleeveless blouse and the yellow cotton sari works very well. The red pout elevated the overall look, and we love the fact that Saboor chose to wear her hair in a sleek bun, adorned with gajray. The muted gold clutch and traditional jhumkay pull the entire look together, with Saboor perfectly embodying that old-world charm.
2. Kinza’s blush-coloured gharara
Saboor wasn’t the only celebrity who turned heads at Minal’s mayun. Kinza’s graceful white kameez and gharara in a gorgeous blush pink shade, complete with understated gold work, was in keeping with the theme. However, Kinza’s choice to opt for a light colour like blush pink instead of the usual yellow at the mayun helped her stand out against the marigold-filled background. The actor looked elegant, exuding vintage charm. The gold watch and large jhumkis complimented the outfit very well, and the way Kinza draped her dupatta around her shoulders really pulled the entire look together.
3. Iqra’s rosegold pishwas
In her first formal event since the birth of her son Kabir Hussain, Iqra stunned in a heavily-embellished rosegold pishwas at Minal’s barat. The actor opted for a gorgeous matching net dupatta that she kept draped on one shoulder, and her pin-straight hair went very well with the overall look. Iqra accessorised with a set of traditional drop earrings and tika, and kept her neck bare save for a delicate gold chain and pendant. To keep the look from going too over the top, Iqra went for a nude lip and smokey eyes.
4. Amna’s black and gold sari
Amna looked like a true fashion diva in a black and gold net sari at Minal’s reception. The actor opted for an embellished white blouse which contrasted very well with the black sari, adding a ravishing red pout to make the look all the more glamourous. Amna painted her nails a matching red, accessorising with a copper-coloured clutch and dangly golden earrings. She kept her hair blow-dried to perfection, pairing it with gold lids and dewy skin.
5. Kinza’s metallic silver sari
This is Kinza’s second mention on this list, and it is well-earned. The actor upped the glam with a stunning metallic silver sari, paired with a black sequinned blouse. The shimmery sari caught the light beautifully and left the diva positively glowing. Kinza chose to accessorise with black metal jewellery, opting for a choker and a pair of heavy bangles. Keeping the makeup classic, with a nude lip and a lined upper-lid, the actor went for pin-straight hair, keeping the look modern and chic.
