A five-day workshop started at Rawalpindi Police Lines to train the victim support staff deployed in the Anti-Women Harassment and Violence Cell on Monday.

The workshop aims to increase the awareness and capacity of the victim support officers for legal, social and psychological support of the affected women on modern lines.

A training workshop for Lady Victim Support Officers of the cell at Rawalpindi Police Lines Headquarters in collaboration with Fatima Jinnah Women's University (FJWU). In the training’s first session, SSP Investigation Ghazanfar Ali Shah addressed the participants and thanked the university, for its cooperation.

The trained teachers and researchers will in turn train the staff to provide better assistance to affected women in social, legal, and psychological capacity. The lady victim support officers of all police stations in Rawalpindi as well as of Transgender Protection Centre are participating in the training workshop to ensure better support and service delivery to the deprived and vulnerable sections.
