Traffic police continue training drivers

Police official says 10 drivers are trained daily at the newly inaugurated centre

Traffic police will continue to provide uninterrupted driving training to drivers at the first of its kind Drivers Education Center inaugurated in Abbottabad last month, said ASP Dr Khadija Umar.

She was speaking as a guest speaker at the facility the other day. She informed trainee drivers about basic driving and traffic rules.

DPO Abbottabad Zahoor Babar Afridi had inaugurated the Drivers Education Centre last month.

Training staff of Abbottabad Traffic Police at the Drivers Education Center under the supervision of SSP Traffic Qamar Hayat Khan imparts a complete training to 10 drivers daily on traffic rules and driving principles.

Because of the efforts of SSP Traffic Qamar Hayat Khan, a guest speaker from the district visits the training center and delivers lecture on traffic rules. Dr Umar visited the training center as a guest speaker the other day.

She said that lives and property of the people must be protected by following the traffic rules. A slightest mistake, carelessness, negligence and ignorance of the driver or violation of traffic and safety rules could lead to a major accident. Therefore, drivers of public service vehicles should ensure compliance with traffic rules.

DSP Farooq Shah said that the training center is a gift of Hazara Mirwaiz Niaz and SSP Qamar Hayat Khan to the people of Abbottabad. For the first time in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Drivers Education Center is successfully operational.
