Punjab Minister for Livestock Sardar Hasnain Bahadar Dreshak said on Friday the provincial government has allocated a sum of Rs5 billion for a project dedicated to ‘genetic improvement’ of animals in a bid to develop the livestock sector further.
He said this while inaugurating a ‘Pet Care Centre’ at the civil veterinary hospital.
The minister highlighted that Faisalabad is the second city of Punjab where a state-owned pet care centre has been established.
He hoped the facility would help citizens care for their domesticated animals in a better way. Furthermore, Dreshak maintained that the government plans to provide machinery to livestock farmers.
