100% funds issued for 176 uplift projects

Commissioner says work on projects worth around Rs9.62 billion is under way

The Punjab government has claimed to have released 100% funds amounting to Rs6.77 billion for 176 uplift schemes of various departments under the annual development programme for the four districts of Sargodha division.

The revelation was made during a review meeting on the pace of development work chaired by Commissioner Dr Farah Masood on Sunday.

The meeting was informed that funds of Rs865 million were issued for 36 schemes in Bhakkar district, Rs647 million for 30 schemes in Khushab, Rs2.74 billion for 36 schemes in Mianwali and Rs2.49 billion for 74 schemes in Sargodha district.

The commissioner said that during the current financial year work on projects worth around Rs9.62 billion was under way.
