A man killed his mother for marrying a man who had allegedly killed her husband within the limits of Taxila police station in Rawalpindi.
According to police, accused Atif Ilyas, has been arrested and a case of murder has been registered upon the complaint of Muhammad Hafeez, the second husband of the victim.
According to the initial investigation, Hafeez was booked in a murder case of the woman’s former husband in 2011 and was sentenced to death by a lower court, but later the high court had acquitted him. Atif Ilyas was upset because his mother had married his father’s murderer.

SHO of Taxila police station and his team acting under the supervision of SDPO traced and arrested Atif Ilyas with the help of modern technology and human intelligence. According to SDPO, all aspects of the case will be investigated. Meanwhile, SP police for Pothohar said that the accused will be presented with solid evidence at the court to ensure exemplary punishment.
Meanwhile, Waris Khan police have arrested a couple for stealing cash and valuables of the passengers on public transport, including Metro Bus Service.
Police said that the accused and his wife named Fazilat Bibi used to steal money and valuables from the purses and pockets of male and female passengers of public service vehicles. The police also recovered Rs800,000 in cash from their possession.
