Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty is reportedly planning to separate from her husband Raj Kundra, who was arrested by the crime branch of Mumbai police on the night of July 19 for allegedly making and distributing porn. As per Bollywood Hungama, Shilpa is in the process of planning a life away from Raj, according to her close friends, after being married to him for 12 years and having two children— son Viaan and daughter Samisha – together.
“Raj Kundra’s troubles aren’t going away in a hurry. On the contrary, they seem to be multiplying every week,” the Indian outlet quoted a friend of the actor’s as saying. “The disclosure of Raj’s alleged link to adult content has come as a shock to Shilpa, and the rest of us. She had no clue that the diamonds and duplex were coming from nefarious resources,” the friend added.
The close source claimed that Shilpa wants to distance her children from Raj, “She won’t be touching a penny of Raj’s assets, from what we know. She earns a substantial amount of money from judging reality shows. She has let it be known in the film industry that she is looking at more film roles after Hungama 2 and the unreleased Nikamma."
After maintaining a low profile since Raj’s arrest, Shilpa resumed shooting for Super Dancer 4 where she is one of the judges along with Anurag Basu and Geeta Kapur, reported News 18.
Last week, she had shared a post on her Instagram Stories reading, “We can't push the 'pause' button on our lives. Every day counts, whether we're doing our best or our worst. Even if we could call a time out when life becomes stressful, would we really want to? Our life's clock keeps ticking no matter what.” She added, “The only thing we truly have is time. Better to live every moment than to lose it forever. As much as I may want to call a time out, I will live every moment as fully as I can.”
During the probe into the pornography case, the Mumbai police discovered that Raj had set up Armsprime Media Pvt Ltd, which, through its London-based Kenrin Pvt Ltd, bought Hotshots, an app to upload objectionable videos. The police claimed that Raj had earned over INR1.17 crore between August and December last year by uploading pornographic content online through Hotshots.
