KARACHI:

People across the country are getting health cards but the people of Sindh are deprived, said Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Sunday.

The federal government managed to distribute the 'Sehat cards' in some areas of Tharparkar and Umerkot districts could not do so across the province due to the lack of cooperation by the Sindh government, he said, addressing a thalassemia screening camp organised by the Kashif Iqbal Thalassemia Care Centre (KTCC) at the Governor House.

The health cards are a joint venture between the federation and the provinces, implying that funds for the medical insurance are to be shared between the federation and the provincial governments, according to a statement issued by the governor's office.
